Comments: "Robinson
Crusoe" was written by "Daniel Defoe" in 1719. It is a
fictional autobiography of an English castaway who lived for 28
years on a remote island near Venezuela, and it is thought to have
been based on the actual experiences of real Scottish sailor,
"Alexander Selkirk".
This brightly coloured game board is based on the novel and starts
with "Robinson Crusoe" leaving Hull in 1651 and covers all
his adventures until he returns back to Britain in 1687 with his new
found acquaintance "Friday".
The game is fairly straightforward, everybody starts on the 1st
place "Start. Crusoe runs away from home". The first player rolls
the die and moves their counter forward the appropriate number of
places and follows the instructions where they land, when necessary,
and then the rest of players take their turn in order. To finish you
have to throw the exact number to end up on the 100th place
"Crusoe reaches York and settles down after being away 28 years".
The original counters and dice are absent. To view other images
