| Comments: The biscuit tin is in
excellent condition, the silver has not tarnished; which is normal,
and the coloured illustration of the dancing girls is bright and
sharp. The tin is not attributed to any major biscuit manufacturer;
but it is normally marked "Peek Frean", however it does bear
the patent number "18593". The picture of little girls
appears to be very much in the style of Kate Greenaway, a very
important Victorian artist who illustrated childrens' picture books,
along with Walter Crane and Randolph Caldecott.
