Comments: "King Edward VIII" was the President of the "British Empire Exhibition" held at Wembley, London in 1924 when he was still the "Prince of Wales". It was a colonial exhibition that was opened on St. George's day in 1924 by "King George V", it cost £12 million, and it was the largest staged anywhere in the world attracting 27,000,000 visitors.
