| Comments: The "Co-Operative
Wholesale Society" was established in Crumpsall, near Manchester
in 1873. It shows the busy Victorian factory with its tall chimneys
emitting great plumes of black smoke and the deliveries being made
by horse drawn carts, while the field next door shows cows quietly
grazing! This biscuit sample tin promotes their various brands of
biscuits and cakes and states "The only 8 hour biscuit works in
