Comments: This very rare
miniature candy tin was manufactured in England for "Rowntree"
around 1910. These tins are very desirable and were made in the form
of many different everyday objects, such as bananas, Christmas
puddings, watches, pianos, footballs, hammers and cricket bats.
The "Gollywog" is a children's story book character created
by "Florence Upton" around 1890 and it became a very popular
rag doll toy in the first half of the 20th century.
The back of the tin says "Rowntree's Cachous. Made in Great
