| Comments: This enchanting looking
biscuit tin was manufactured by "Barringer, Wallis and Manners"
in 1911 for the "McVitie and Price" biscuit
company. The
grotesque looking bird is very reminiscent of the Victorian art
pottery birds produced by the "Martin Brothers" in Southall.
The cheeky looking head forms the lid of the tin and it just pulls
off. This tin was also produced in 1912 for the "Co-operative
