Comments: The story of
"Robinson Crusoe" was written by "Daniel Defoe" and was
first published in 1719. It is a fictional autobiography of an
English castaway who spends 28 years stranded on a remote desert
island before being finally rescued. It may have been based on real
life story of "Alexander Selkirk" who was rescued from the
island of "Más a Tierra" in 1709, off the Chilean coast.
The biscuit tin features the characters of "Robinson Crusoe"
and his "Man Friday".
