Comments: This 4 oz tobacco tin was made by "Ginna & Co." for "Daniel Scotten & Co." of Detroit, Michigan around 1910.
"Hiawatha" was a leader of the "Onondaga" and "Mohawk" nations of Native Americans, he was also a follower of "The Great Peacemaker", a spiritual leader who founded the "Iroquois Confederacy". He was a clever speaker and politician, enabling him to help unite the "Iroquois" people to become the "Five Nations" of the "Iroquois Confederacy"; which later became the "Six Nations" in 1721.
"Longfellow's" famous poem bears little or no resemblance between his hero and the real life person!
