Comments: A nice paper labeled
biscuit tin from "Peek Frean", in very good condition with all the
paper covering intact. The style of decoration on the label looks to
be from a much earlier period than 1936, but it states "To the
late King George V" who died on the 20th January 1936.
His doctor, "Lord Dawson of Penn", gave him a lethal
injection of cocaine and morphine to hasten his death. This was to
prevent further strain on his family and also to allow his death to
be announced in the morning edition of "The Times", which was
considered to be a more fitting tribute than it appearing in
