| Comments: This very unusual tin
from "J.Lyons & Co."" features a board game called the
"Toffie Skotch Game". The idea of the game is that you throw a
die, move your counter and end up in "The Home of Toffee"
(square 115) by throwing the exact number with the last throw of
your die. The game
passes through the various stages of toffee manufacture like
"Buying Materials", "Weigh Ingredients", "Adding Lyons
Flavour", "Urgent Order" along with penalty stops like
"Bad Eggs" and "Leaky Churn". It bears the registration
number "727024" and thus dates from 1927. The tin consists of
two hinged halves with a closing catch, it is in good condition but
the right-hand side is a little crazed.
