| Comments: This large casket tin
was manufactured for "Macfarlane Lang & Co" in 1936 by
"Hudson Scott & Sons". The picture on the lid is taken from a
painting by Rembrandt (1606-1669) called the "Man in Armour",
painted around 1655, which is housed in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery
and Museum in Glasgow. However, it is incorrectly titled "The
Young Warrior" on the hinged lid of the tin. The picture is
beautifully coloured with a lovely metallic sheen and the tin is in
wonderful condition!
