| Comments: When the "Victoria
and Albert Museum" in London held the first exhibition of
"British Biscuit Tins" in 1984, they produced a book to
accompany the show and this tin forms the main illustration on the
front cover of the book. This biscuit tin was produced in the form
of a house to serve as a money box by "Barringer, Wallis and
Manners" in 1908. The biscuit company of "Mackenzie and
Mackenzie" was based in Edinburgh from 1868 till 1911 and the
bottom of this tin states that they were the "Inventors of the
Albert Biscuit"!
