Comments: This "Mambo" talcum
powder tin was made in England in the late 1940's. The printing on
the sides say "The Powder with the
Latin American Tang" and "Specially prepared for
Compagnie Francaise de L'Afrique Occidentale"; which
translates as "The French Company of Western Africa".
The "Mambo" was a Latin American dance created in the 1940's
by "Perez Prado". The illustrations on the front and the back
of the tin show a young attractive girl performing this provocative
dance........very sexy!
The tin is very good condition, nice and shiny, and it is still
full of powder, just a couple of tiny dents on the sides and the top
has some light oxidation.
