Comments: This the second in the
series of three biscuit tins that "Huntley and Palmer" produced in
the form of an artist's palette. This version was manufactured in
1901 by "Huntley, Boorne and Stevens", it was titled
"Palette" and is probably the most attractive of the trio.
The sides of the tin show all the popular forms of transportation from
1822 to 1901, from the year the company was founded to the year that
this tin was produced. They include a horse
and carriage, a stage coach, a bicycle, a tandem and even a
motor car! The palette has three realistic looking paint brushes on
the lid, a nice feature!
The tin is in very good condition, however inside there are two
treated areas of oxidization.
