Comments:  The Toby jug originates from about 1760 immortalized by the English potter Ralph Wood in Staffordshire. The figure is of a seated man in a three cornered hat holding a beer and his pipe. This wonderful tin was produced by the tin makers "Hudson Scott and Sons" of Carlisle and has a hinged top lid. This same biscuit tin was also manufactured for "Huntley and Palmer's".
