| Comments: This pair of large tea
tins were made by "Hudson Scott" around 1890. The hinged lid
says "Plantation Tea from the gardens" and it has a nice
picture of two tea pickers, a man and a woman talking to each other.
There are also four detailed side panels, a muscular Indian wearing
a turban and carrying a basket of tea leaves, a pretty Indian girl
with lots of jewelry picking tea, an Indian scene with a bullock
cart, a temple and an oversized tea leaf, and finally a Chinese
scene with a man carrying tea, a temple in the background and
another oversized tea leaf.
