When the "Titanic" left Southampton harbour
on April 10th 1912 at noon, she was the
largest moveable thing ever constructed by
man. At 2.20am on the 15th April she was
sinking below the surface of the icy North
Atlantic Ocean, taking with her more than
1500 lives. The history of this "White Star
Line" ship is well documented.
This interesting memorial item has a picture
of the ship behind a
convex glass surrounded by a perimeter of
shells, and inside there are shells and moss.
