Comments: This
tin was produced to celebrate the longest
reign of a British monarch, namely "Queen
Victoria" in 1897 lasting 60 years. This was
a period during which the country
experienced great prosperity, growth in
population, industrial expansion,
Parliamentary reform, price stability and
was generally peaceful! It has images of
"Queen Victoria", and the future kings of
England; "Edward VII", "George V" and
"Edward EVIII". It also has pictures of the
four royal
residences; Windsor Castle, Balmoral,
Sandringham and Osborne. The lid
is hinged and bears the image of the royal
crown and motto. The registration number is
also printed on the tin, "294905".
