Comments:  This "Edward VII" coronation enamel beaker is a very different design to the usual ones that you commonly see. It is bright, highly detailed and in excellent condition.
He succeeded to the throne on death of "Queen Victoria" becoming King on the 22nd January 1901. He was due to be crowned on the 26th June 1902 but this was delayed till 9th August due to him being diagnosed with appendicitis. This resulted in there being a lot of coronation memorabilia on sale bearing the incorrect date.
