| Comments: "Quaker Oats"
was founded in 1901 when several cereal mills amalgamated, it is
based in Chicago and is not related to the "Religious Society of
Friends" also known as the "Quakers". The
illustrated box is Canadian, the American and British flags appear
in both bottom left and right hand corners and the sign is in
French! This sign was manufactured by "Marcel Charles Verneau & Cie"
in Paris in the 1920's. The sign is
constructed with a paper image on a thick cardboard backing, was
designed to be hung on the wall and it is in good condition with
some minor scuffs and wear.
