Comments:  This small plastic bar sign was produced the English brewery of "Thwaites" in the 1950's to promote their "Big Ben" ale. The Lancashire brewery was created by Daniel Thwaites in 1807 in Blackburn, from where it still produces good beer. The sign has a picture of the north-western end of the "Palace of Westminster" with the famous "Clock Tower", that houses the large bell known as "Big Ben"; the largest of the tower's five bells weighing nearly fourteen tons. However, the whole tower is often mistakenly called "Big Ben".
