Comments: "The
Antikamnia Chemical Co." of St. Louis, MO produced these tablets
to combat many ailments including neuralgia, headaches, fever, pain
and insomnia! The metal tip tray was manufactured by the
"American Can Co." around 1904 and is marked "World's Fair
Souvenir 1904" which was held in St. Louis.
The company was founded in 1890. The medicine contained a coal-tar
derivative; half of which was an acetanilide, a dangerous and habit
forming compound. The company also had another version containing
