Comments: This piece of
pre-scored cardboard was given away around 1942 with "Kellogg's
PEP", a whole-wheat flake cereal. There were seven different
models in the set and they were described as "..an authentic
scale model suitable for silhouette identification..". On the
rear it states "Buy U.S. War Bonds and Stamps".
The "North American B-25 Mitchell" was described as an attack
bomber with a loaded weight of 27,000 lbs, span of 67' 6", 52' 10"
long, maximum speed over 300mph, powered by two 1650 hp Wright
Cyclones and two or three gun turrets.
On the 28th July 1945 a B-25 crashed, in thick fog, into the north
side of the "Empire State Building" between the 79th and 80th
floors.
"North American Aviation" built 9,984 of these aircraft.

and DH122.
